Waivers

General Waiver - Applicable to All

Clients/members are requested to accept responsibility for their personal, medical and physical condition in order to take part in any SheStrongPT activities and services including, but not limited to:

  • Online/In Person Personal Training,

  • Online/In Person Small Group Training,

  • Online/In Person Classes,

  • On-Demand Content

  • Nutrition Coaching/Advice

  • Menstrual Cycle Health Advice

Any assessment undertaken by the staff, associates and contractors is for general information only with a view to giving advice and should not be relied on by clients/members as certifying their fitness or taken as medical advice. All information provided in programmes or by coaches, staff, associates and contractors is purely for educational purposes only and should never replace the advice given by your health-care provider or GP. A GP’s clearance may be required if you have any existing medical problems. Use of the services may be restricted for medical reasons.

I hereby acknowledge and agree that I will enjoy the services provided by SheStrongPT entirely at my own risk and that I will not endeavour to hold liable SheStrongPT , its staff, agents, employees, subcontractors, or representatives for any injury, loss, damage or expense incurred by me or on my behalf or suffered by me or on my behalf arising out of the use or enjoyment of any of the SheStrongPT services, howsoever arising.

Pregnancy/Postnatal Classes Waiver

Physical activity during pregnancy has many health benefits and is generally not risky for you and your baby. But for some conditions, physical activity is not recommended.

Pre-Activity Pregnancy Questions & Considerations:

I understand that if I answer yes to any of the below listed questions, I must speak to my healthcare professional (e.g. GP or midwife) before I begin or continue to be physically active.

In this pregnancy, do I have:

  • Mild, moderate or severe respiratory or cardiovascular diseases (e.g., chronic bronchitis)?

  • Epilepsy that is not stable?

  • Type 1 diabetes that is not stable or your blood sugar is outside of target ranges?

  • Thyroid disease that is not stable or your thyroid function is outside of target ranges?

  • An eating disorder(s) or malnutrition?

  • Twins (28 weeks pregnant or later)? Or are you expecting triplets or higher multiple births? 

  • Low red blood cell number (anemia) with high levels of fatigue and/or light-headedness?

  • High blood pressure (preeclampsia, gestational hypertension, or chronic hypertension that is not stable)? 

  • A baby that is growing slowly (intrauterine growth restriction)?

  • Unexplained bleeding, ruptured membranes or labour before 37 weeks? 

  • A placenta that is partially or completely covering the cervix (placenta previa)?

  • Weak cervical tissue (incompetent cervix)? 

  •  A stitch or tape to reinforce your cervix (cerclage)?

In previous pregnancies, have I had:

  • Recurrent miscarriages (loss of baby before 20 weeks gestation two or more times)? 

  • Early delivery (before 37 weeks gestation)? 

Any other medical condition or health concern or reason.

Immediate Cessation of Exercise During Pregnancy:

I agree to cease exercise and contact my healthcare provider immediately if I experience any of the below. I accept that failure to do so is my full responsibility.

  •  Bleeding from the vagina

  • Feeling dizzy or faint

  • Shortness of breath before starting exercise

  • Chest pain

  • Headache

  • Muscle weakness

  • Calf pain or swelling

  • Regular, painful contractions of the uterus

  • Fluid leaking from the vagina

Attendees are requested to accept responsibility for their own personal, medical, and physical condition, along with that of their child(ren) in order to partake in any small group training, personal training and/or classes.

I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to inform the instructor/coach of any pregnancy specific complaints listed below or contraindications listed above.

I agree to inform my instructor/coach if I am suffering from any of the following, so that they can adjust the class for me where needed:

  • PGP

  • Pubis Symphysis

  • Sciatica

  • Heartburn

  • Carpal Tunnel

  • Hemorrhoids

  • Breech Baby (esp. after 34 weeks)

I confirm that my healthcare provider has given clearance for exercise during pregnancy.

I understand that photos will be taken in classes but I will be contacted to ask permission to use said photos in promotional/marketing content.

By doing so, I understand that physical exercise (yoga, workouts, mobility involves strenuous movement and changes in breathing and it is my responsibility to not exceed my limit by selecting the appropriate level of activity for me. I hereby acknowledge and agree that I will enjoy the services provided by Sinéad Brophy and associates/contractors via SheStrong entirely at my own risk.

Postnatal Specific Waiver

 I confirm that my healthcare provider has given clearance for postpartum return to exercise.

I agree that I will inform my coach if I feel any heaviness, dragging, or pain in my pelvic floor and/or any urgency to use the bathroom whilst training.

I also confirm that I my baby/infant is my own responsibility during training sessions and I will make sure to keep my child safe.

Personal Training & Workout Programmes

I understand that physical exercise (yoga, workouts, mobility, personal/small group training) involves strenuous movement and changes in breathing and it is my responsibility to not exceed my limit by selecting the appropriate level of activity for me.

I confirm that I am hereby informed of the need to undergo a physician’s examination prior to my application for engaging with SheStrongPT services. I have recently undergone such an examination or refuse to do so. In declining to undergo an examination, I acknowledge that I accept complete responsibility for my health and well-being in all and any voluntary exercise fitness programs, related testing and/or nutrition and behavioural habits.

I understand that photos will be taken in classes but I will be contacted to ask permission to use said photos in promotional/marketing content.

Nutrition Coaching & Menstrual Cycle Coaching

I acknowledge that the information provided during Nutrition & Lifestyle Coaching session is general health and behavioural advice that can help me achieve my goals. This information is provided for informational and coaching purposes only and is a result of the experience and research of Sinead Brophy and is not intended as a substitute for the advice of a GP, Doctor or healthcare provider. I understand that this information is not to be used for diagnosing or treating any health problem or disease.

I agree to always speak to my healthcare provider or pharmacist before taking any supplementation or if I am on any medication ensuring that it does not require any special dietary requirements. If it does, I agree to inform the SheStrongPT staff, associates or contractors of this and failure to do so is my own responsibility.

I understand that any menstrual cycle tracking advice is given in general health terms and is not intended as replacement for other forms of contraception/STI protection. If I wish to engage in Fertility Awareness Method training for contraceptive purposes, I must, instead, partake in FAM Coaching.

Cancellation Policy & Pack T&Cs

If I have purchased a class pack or drop in, I also agree to the following cancellation policy:

For Bumps and Babies SGPT: 

Class Packs are bought in packs of credits which must be used over the specified time.

One 'catch up week' is given to account for any weeks away on holiday or days you or your child are sick. Additional class credits can be bought to fill those additional Class slots if needed.

Max 2 unused sessions can be rolled into the next block (when there is one) or used as roaming across other locations (availability depending).  Any weeks that I am away or sick will not be counted as for you time limit.

12 hours notice must be given for changing your class booking and can be done via the booking system.

For 1:1 Personal Training Sessions & Nutrition Coaching Calls:

Sessions must be used within the duration specified in the package purchased (2 weeks, 2 months, or 3 months). Any weeks that I am away or sick will not be counted as for you time limit.

Cancellation must be given 12hours in advance - I will do my best to reschedule you where possible (ideally within the same week or as an extra session during the week) but if no suitable time is found, the session must be counted as a used session.

For Workshops & Events:

24 hours cancellation notice must be given and cancellation outside of this window will not be refunded/transferred.

Recordings of online workshops will be sent to all ticket-holders and/or made accessible to eligible membership types.
